The 3rd Comenius
meeting within the framework of the WARM AT HOME PROJECT took place in Hungary
in the period of 23rd -30th March 2014. The small town of
Cserkeszőlő playing the role of the host welcomed the delegations of the
partner countries ( Poland, Bulgaria, Italy, Spain and Turkey) with open arms.
This time 18 teachers and 16 students took part in the conference held during
the last week of March. The meeting officially began with an opening ceremony
performed in our school during which our headmistress greeted the participants
and handed out our presents. Afterwards, the audience listened to the national
anthems and the vocal version of the WAH project anthem which was recorded by
our school choir for this particular occasion. Students from each partner country dressed in
their own national folk costume added to the feeling of emotion and solemnity
of the event.
The programme went according
to the agenda and was characterized by various activities.
-interactive lesson for
students on renewable energy sources
-quiz contest on the culture
and history of the partner countries
-meeting sessions during which
we discussed matters of documentation
-presentations on Easter
traditions and systems of education
-guided tour around Budapest

to the Leskowsky musical instrument museum
-meeting with the mayor of
Tiszasas
-visit to greenhouses, a hydro
power plant and the heating centre of Cserkeszőlő

On behalf of the Hungarian WAH
